Tauranga Anglers Club Website
About the Club
The Tauranga Anglers Club is the only Tauranga based angling club dedicated to trout fishing and attracts members from across the Western Bay of Plenty, from Katikati to Te Puke. The Club was formed in 1990 after regional Fish and Game Councils replaced Acclimatisation Societies for management of sport shooting and fishing in New Zealand. The Club grew from an informal anglers group that had been in existence for many years.
The aims of the Club are wide-ranging, and include;
Encouraging people to take up the sport for its recreational and social benefits,
Educating anglers in both the technical skills and environmental issues of the sport;
Enhancing and increasing the angling resources in the area;
Providing a social environment for people interested in trout fishing.
Whatever your experience or ability, if you are interested in trout fishing this could be the Club for you.
